La Mesa, CA
Cuyamaca College Women's Basketball is proud to welcome back Samonah Betts, a versatile guard from Spring Valley, CA, who is set to return to the floor for the upcoming 2025–26 season.
Known for her athleticism, leadership, and two-way play, Betts has continued to evolve both on and off the court. She navigated the highs and lows of last season with resilience and maturity staying committed to her growth and the program's values every step of the way.
"Samonah is a steady force," said Head Coach Sa'de Wiley-Gatewood. "She's been through the process, learned from every challenge, and is coming back stronger. We're excited to see the impact she'll make this year."
Samonah is currently pursuing her degree in Kinesiology, balancing the rigors of academic and athletic life with focus and discipline. She exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete at Cuyamaca: driven, grounded, and ready to lead with purpose.
Her return adds veteran presence, defensive toughness, and leadership depth to a program focused on building a culture of consistency and excellence.
As the Coyotes gear up for the 2025–26 season, Betts is expected to play a key role in shaping the team's identity and setting the tone both on the court and in the locker room.
Welcome back, Samonah.
