Cuyamaca Women's Volleyball Head Coach Kevin Pratte spent his summer vacation traveling to the Midwest to attend the HUMANeX Impact & Legacy Summit in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The summit featured highly renowned speakers including coaches Sue Enquist and Buzz Williams, who were some of Coach Pratte’s favorites.

Coach Enquist spent 18 years as the co-head coach and solo head coach for the UCLA softball team. During her time on the coaching staff, the Bruins won 11 national championships. Coach Williams is currently the Virginia Tech men’s basketball coach. Prior to Virginia Tech, Williams was the head men’s basketball coach at Marquette, where he lead his squad to two NCAA tournament Sweet Sixteens and one Elite Eight appearance. 

The Cuyamaca women’s volleyball team has been working with Coach Jennifer Green and HUMANeX for one year. HUMANeX Ventures is a progressive talent consulting organization that partners with athletic directors, coaches, and teams across the country in order to discover student-athletes' innate talents and help build a championship team culture. They use online and phone assessments to gather data and then personalize an action plan based on the team and coaches’ needs.

“Attending the HUMANeX summit was great for my professional development as a coach,” said Coach Pratte. “Getting to see Coach Enquist and Coach Williams speak was very special. Also, it was great to meet all the HUMANeX staff members. They have all been supportive of our team. I am very appreciative that Coach Green went above and beyond to make Cuyamaca College feel like a valuable client. I look forward to working with Coach Green and HUMANeX for years to come.”

The Coyotes are scheduled to work with Coach Green and HUMANeX for the upcoming season. Coach Green and Coach Pratte will look at the HUMANeX team assessments and use that data to build a winning program.
