Rosie has been a bright light in our program from the moment she arrived. In just two years at Cuyamaca—and six total years of playing volleyball—she has brought joy, energy, and laughter to everyone around her. She is the teammate who lifts spirits, brings people together, and makes even the toughest days feel lighter. To know her is to feel supported, valued, and reminded not to take life too seriously.
This season, Rosie anchored our backcourt with consistency and heart and her impact is felt throughout the team. She is the person who brings out the best in everyone around her. She shows up with love, humor, and positivity—and because of that, our team is stronger, closer, and happier.
Her favorite memory as a Coyote is simple and beautiful:
"Making lifelong friends."
And her favorite quote, fitting for someone who quietly carries so much influence, is:
"With great power comes great responsibility."
To her teammates, Rosie leaves these heartfelt words:
"I had so much fun, and I'm going to miss every bond I've had with each player on my team."
Her advice to future collegiate athletes is thoughtful and wise:
"Balance school and volleyball accordingly."
Rosie, you have filled this team with joy and connection. You've made us laugh, you've lifted us up, and you've created friendships that will last long beyond this gym. We are going to miss warming up with you, practicing with you, and seeing you every single day. Thank you for being not only a phenomenal teammate, but a true best friend. We love you so much.
